Doctors at Delhi’s RML Hospital performed a world-first heart surgery on a woman with “mirror image” organs. The patient had Situs Inversus, where internal organs are reversed. Instead of traditional open-heart surgery, surgeons used a tiny 4 cm incision to fix a heart defect. The successful procedure was covered under the Ayushman Bharat government scheme.
