Amid controversy over the disappearance of 25 tigers in Rajasthan’s Ranthambore National Park, officials confirmed on Thursday that 10 of the big cats have been traced. The claim followed remarks by Rajasthan’s Chief Wildlife Warden, Pavan Kumar Upadhyay, who stated that 25 tigers from the reserve, home to 75 tigers, had gone missing over the past year—a first in such high numbers.
