JDU, led by CM Nitish Kumar, expelled 11 leaders, including four former MLAs and two ex-MLCs, for alleged anti-party activities ahead of Bihar Assembly elections. Some were reportedly planning independent contests against party ideology. Voting for the 243-seat Assembly is scheduled in two phases on November 6 and 11, with results on November 14.
