Wasim ‘Model’, a serial criminal wanted in 27 cases including murder and extortion, was arrested in Odisha’s Puri district after escaping from court custody in June. A Rs 50,000 bounty was placed on his head following his dramatic escape. Wasim had been on the run for months, but was finally captured after surveillance tracked his location to Odisha.
