Taxi Driver Pays Alimony In Coins, Disrupts Court Proceedings

In a bizarre turn of events in Tamil Nadu, a taxi driver presented ₹80,000 in coins to the Coimbatore Additional Family Court as interim alimony during his divorce case. The amount, packed into 20 sacks of ₹1 and ₹2 coins, was intended to inconvenience his wife. The court disapproved and ordered him to return with the payment in currency notes instead.
