Partha Chatterjee Gets Bail, Set For February 1 Release

The Supreme Court granted bail to former West Bengal minister Partha Chatterjee in a money laundering case linked to the cash-for-job scam. He will be released on February 1 or after charges are framed and witness statements recorded. The court directed the trial court to frame charges by Dec 31, 2024. Chatterjee, in jail for over two years, was previously denied bail by the Calcutta High Court.
