Binance founder Changpeng Zhao was released from a California correctional facility on Friday after serving four months for violating US money laundering laws. Zhao pleaded guilty to charges related to Binance’s failure to report over 100,000 suspicious transactions involving terrorist groups. Binance faced a $4.32 billion penalty, while Zhao paid $50 million in criminal fines to the US authorities.
