The Uttar Pradesh Police have arrested 26 additional suspects linked to the communal violence in Bahraich, which erupted after a man’s death during Durga Puja celebrations on Oct 13. This brings the total arrests to 87, said cops. Although Maharajganj remains tense, commercial activities and traffic are resumed. Heavy police presence continues in the area to maintain order, officials said.
