MP: 5 Jabalpur Schools Ordered To Refund Illegally Hiked Fees

The district committee in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, has ordered five schools to refund ₹31.51 crore in illegally hiked fees from 52,480 students, collected between 2017-18 and 2024-25. Each school was fined ₹2 lakh under the Madhya Pradesh Private Schools Act and must pay the penalty within 30 days. The schools were found to have unlawfully increased tuition fees after financial document review.
