IndiGo CEO Pieter Elbers has stepped down immediately, citing personal issues, after a challenging period marked by operational disruptions. The airline faced huge hurdles in late December 2025, with over 1,200 flight cancellations caused by pilot shortages and revised duty-time rules. Managing Director Rahul Bhatia will oversee operations on an interim basis.
