Sambhal Authorities Reopen Temple Closed Since 1978 Riots

The Sambhal administration reopened the Bhasma Shankar temple, which had been locked since 1978 after communal riots. Located near the Shahi Jama Masjid, the temple was discovered during an anti-encroachment drive. It houses an idol of Lord Hanuman and a Shivling. Authorities also plan to reopen the nearby well, which had been closed since the riots.
