IIT Kanpur Terminates UP Cop’s PhD Amid Rape Case Probe

IIT Kanpur terminated the PhD program of UP Police officer Mohammad Mohsin Khan, accused of sexually exploiting an IIT research scholar. Khan, pursuing a PhD in cybercrime, was removed following a recommendation from the UP DGP’s office. A case under BNS sections is being investigated by a Kanpur Police SIT.
