The application process for all liquor and wine shop licenses in Andhra Pradesh will close on Friday, Oct 11. As of Thursday, 65,629 applications have been received, generating over Rs. 1,300 crore for the excise department. Officials believe that another 20,000 applications are likely to come in today. Notably, 46 shops have received two applications each in 12 locations across the state.
