The Ambani family is expected to depart for London within a week, as stated by a source close to them. Anant Ambani, the youngest scion of the Ambani family, recently married Radhika Merchant, daughter of pharmaceutical tycoons Viren and Shaila Merchant, in Mumbai.
After months of elaborate pre-wedding celebrations, Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s extravagant nuptials have been hailed as the “wedding of the year” by many.
The grand celebration took place at the Ambani family-owned Jio World Drive convention center, attended by film and media celebrities. The pre-wedding festivities commenced in Gujarat’s Jamnagar, featuring performances by pop star Rihanna and Bollywood luminaries.
In June, the celebrations extended to a luxury cruise party across Italy and the South of France, featuring entertainment from artists like the Backstreet Boys, Pitbull, David Guetta, Katy Perry, and Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli.
Singer-songwriter Justin Bieber performed at the ‘sangeet’ ceremony in Mumbai last week. Notable figures attending the wedding included former Indian President Ram Nath Kovind, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, AP CM N. Chandrababu Naidu, West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee, Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin, and former UK PM Boris Johnson.
The festivities will culminate with a grand reception on July 14.
