AI Safety System Halts Train In Assam As Elephants Cross Tracks

An AI-driven safety system halted a train in Assam on October 16, allowing a herd of 60 elephants to cross the tracks safely. The train driver and his assistant applied emergency brakes after being alerted by the AI-based Intrusion Detection System (IDS). The East Central Railways plans to expand this system across all elephant corridors, having already saved 383 elephants this year.
