An Afghan prisoner, Khan Mohammad, serving a life sentence in California, was released by the U.S. in exchange for 2 Americans on Tuesday, according to Afghan authorities. The prisoner, arrested nearly 20 years ago in Nangarhar, Afghanistan, was extradited to the US after his capture. The identities of the Americans remain undisclosed.
