The IMD has upgraded its warning for Gujarat to an orange alert for several coastal districts today, indicating potential weather disruption. Gir Somnath, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Bharuch and Surat are on alert. A yellow alert is issued for Mumbai. Parts of Maharashtra may face thunderstorms, lightning, squally winds and heavy rain, including Raigad, Thane and Palghar.
