At least 69 people died after a 6.9-magnitude earthquake struck Cebu province in the central Philippines Tuesday night around 10 pm. The quake hit Bogo City and nearby towns, trapping residents in collapsed homes, nightclubs, and businesses. Rescuers, aided by troops, police, volunteers, backhoes, and sniffer dogs, began house-to-house searches today.
