Indians Account For Highest Travel To Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka welcomed about 2.3 M tourists in 2025, with Indian travellers forming the largest group. Over 5.3 L Indians visited the island, showing strong growth from last year. December saw the highest arrivals. The UK ranked second, while Europe and Asia-Pacific together made up most visitors, highlighting Sri Lanka’s popularity as a holiday destination.
