Van Vihar National Park To Receive Asiatic Lions In Exchange For Tigers

Van Vihar National Park in Bhopal will receive two Asiatic lions from Gujarat in exchange for two Bengal tigers, according to a Forest department official. The tigers have been transferred to the Junagadh zoo as part of an animal exchange program. The lions, from Sakkarbaug Zoological Park in Junagadh, will be brought to the park located by the Upper Lake in Bhopal.
