Centre Informs SC On Action Regarding Internet Shutdown Guidelines

Centre informed the Supreme Court on Tuesday that it had written to state chief secretaries, urging them to adhere to the law set by the apex court on internet shutdowns. The bench, consisting of Justices Vikram Nath and P.B. Varale, was briefed about the Supreme Court’s judgment in the Anuradha Bhasin case, which set guidelines on the legality and imposition of internet shutdowns in India.
