A designated CBI court denied bail to Sandip Ghosh, former principal of RG Kar Medical College, citing the serious nature of the accusations against him, which could result in the death penalty if proven. Ghosh, along with former Tala police station officer Abhijit Mondal, was arrested for allegedly tampering with evidence related to a doctor’s rape and murder case in Kolkata.
