Congress Raises Alarm Over SC Judgment On Minorities

The Congress criticized an SC two-judge ruling that those practicing religions other than Hinduism, Buddhism, or Sikhism cannot claim Scheduled Caste status. Randeep Surjewala said the judgment has caused fear among economically weaker sections of Christian, Muslim, and other minority communities while the matter is pending before a three-judge bench.
