Bangladesh’s Parliament met for the first time since the 2024 Bangladesh uprising. PM Tarique Rahman said the new session followed February elections ending interim rule. He urged unity to rebuild democracy and criticized the government of Sheikh Hasina, now in exile in India after being sentenced in absentia for crimes against humanity charges.
