Supreme Court Upholds Aadhaar In Election Process

The SC refused to change its Sep 2025 order requiring Aadhaar for the SIR process. Chief Justice Surya Kant and Justice Joymalya Bagchi advised petitioner Ashwini Kumar Upadhyay to raise concerns about mass-produced fake Aadhaar cards in border areas with the Union Government, noting the Representation of the People Act still recognizes them as valid ID.
