Malaysian PM Anwar Ibrahim paid tributes to Indian ex-PM Manmohan Singh and shared a deeply personal story. “The weight of grief bears down on me at the news of the passing of my honored and cherished friend,” Anwar wrote on X. He said that when he was jailed as part of a conspiracy, Singh offered to pay for education of his children, risking of antagonizing the then Malaysian government.
