Tabla Maestro Zakir Hussain Passes Away

Legendary Tabla maestro Zakir Hussain passed away at the age of 73 in a San Francisco hospital, his family confirmed on Monday. Admitted for two weeks, he was moved to the ICU as his condition worsened. Earlier reports of his death were denied by his sister. The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting briefly announced his passing before deleting the statement.
