Earthquakes Are Common In The Godavari Basin: NGRI Scientist

National Geophysical Research Institute (NGRI) scientist Dr. Shekhar stated that earthquakes are common in the Godavari basin. He mentioned that while another earthquake is possible, the intensity is not expected to exceed magnitude 6. Dr. Shekhar reassured the public, saying there is no cause for panic, as an earthquake of below 6 magnitude is not dangerous.
