Man Sentenced To Life Imprisonment For Murdering Wife With Anesthesia

The Davangere District Court in Karnataka sentenced Mahadeva to life imprisonment and a Rs 1 lakh fine for murdering his wife, AG Shaila. The court found that Mahadeva suffocated Shaila by administering sevoflurane anesthesia and holding her nose. The fine includes Rs 80,000 to be given to Shaila’s parents. The case stemmed from a 2014 complaint of intentional poisoning by the husband.
