NHRC Issues Notice Over Minor’s Torture In Rajkot Custody

The National Human Rights Commission took suo motu cognisance of a video showing a 17-year-old boy tortured in Rajkot police custody on September 1. The boy was detained for a stabbing case and later sent to a juvenile home. NHRC has sought a detailed report from Gujarat DGP within two weeks amid serious human rights concerns.
