Powerful 7.3 Magnitude Earthquake Hits Coast Of Vanuatu

A strong earthquake with a magnitude of 7.3 struck the coast of Vanuatu in the South Pacific Ocean this morning, according to the USGS. The earthquake occurred at a depth of 57 kilometers and was centered 30 kilometers west of Port Vila, the largest city in Vanuatu. Vanuatu is a group of 80 islands, home to approximately 330,000 people.
