India’s ethanol blending program has led to cheaper fuel, reduced emissions, and significant savings. Petrol and diesel prices have dropped with government intervention, benefiting consumers. The ethanol program, now blending 14.6% ethanol, has saved ₹1.08 lakh crore in foreign exchange and reduced CO2. It also provides steady income for farmers, with ₹92,409 crore paid to sugarcane growers.
