Lok Sabha Passes Resolution To Send Simultaneous Polls Bills To Joint Committee

Just before the Lok Sabha was adjourned on Friday, a resolution recommending two bills on simultaneous elections to a joint committee was passed. Moved by Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal, it suggested that the Rajya Sabha send members’ names to join the committee. The committee will consist of 27 Lok Sabha members and 12 Rajya Sabha members.
