Thane Tribunal Awards ₹31.39 Lakh To Accident Victim

Motor Accident Claims Tribunal (MACT) in Thane awarded ₹31.39 lakh to Gopichand Shankar Patil, a businessman injured in a 2019 road accident. Patil was struck by a speeding car while riding his scooter on Ghodbunder Road, resulting in 40% disability. The driver fled the scene and was charged with rash driving and other offences under the IPC and Motor Vehicles Act.
