In Unnao’s Purwa area, a bride fled with her lover shortly after exchanging garlands during her wedding. While the groom’s family prepared for the phera ceremony, she disappeared. She later told her father she wished to marry her lover. A heated argument followed, and the groom’s family left. Police have launched an inquiry.
