Five individuals, including temple priest Mehul Rathod and cleaning staff, have been arrested by the Crime Branch in Ahmedabad for stealing 117.3 kg of silver, valued around ₹1.64 crore, from the Shri Laxmi Vardha Jain Sangh – Jain Derasar in the Paldi area. The theft, committed over a two‑year period, involved disabling CCTV and colluding with silver traders.
