After 45 years, the murder of 17-year-old Esther Gonzalez has been solved through DNA evidence. She was found dead in Riverside County, California, on February 10, 1979, after disappearing while walking to her sister’s house. DNA linked the crime to Lewis Randolph “Randy” Williamson, who reported discovering her body but was previously cleared after passing a polygraph test. He died in 2014.
