Elon Musk’s SpaceX will assist India by launching the Gsat-20 communication satellite, which weighs 4,700 kg. India’s space agency, ISRO, typically uses its LVM-3 rocket for satellites up to 4 tonnes, but since Gsat-20 exceeds that weight, ISRO has requested SpaceX’s help. SpaceX’s Falcon-9 rocket, capable of launching payloads up to 8.3 tonnes, will carry the satellite.
