The Election Commission of India (ECI) today ordered the transfer of Tamil Nadu Home Secretary Dheeraj Kumar and appointed 1993-batch IAS officer K Manivasan in his place. Manivasan has been directed to assume charge immediately. The ECI also said Kumar should not be given any election-related posting until the elections are completed.
