Air India will increase ticket prices by adding a fuel surcharge because jet fuel costs have risen due to tensions in the Middle East between Iran and the US. From March 12, domestic passengers will pay an extra Rs 399. International flights will also become costlier in phases. The airline said the increase is necessary to manage rising operating costs.
