Thane Man Defrauded Of ₹1 Lakh Posing As Fake Gas Firm Worker

A man from Thane, currently residing in the US, was scammed of nearly ₹1 lakh by fraudsters posing as officials from a gas supply company. The victim received calls claiming unpaid bills and paid ₹99,900. The Naupada police registered a case under Section 318(4) of the IPC and the IT Act. No arrests have been made yet, and investigations continue.
