Fresh Clashes In Manipur Leave One Dead, Many Injured

Fresh clashes between Hmar and Zomi communities in Manipur’s Churachandpur left a 53-year-old man, Lalropui Pakhumate, dead and many injured. Violence broke out after Hmar members resisted a Zomi group’s flag-hoisting attempt. The Zomi Students’ Federation called for an indefinite shutdown, while security forces held flag marches to restore order.
