The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation plans to auto-settle about ₹5,200 crore in inactive PF accounts. Money may be directly sent to Aadhaar-linked bank accounts without claims. Around 8 lakh accounts could benefit in the first phase. Many accounts hold large balances. EPFO has not officially confirmed the plan yet.
