Wife Entitled To Up To 25% Of Husband’s Income As Maintenance: HC

The Allahabad High Court ruled that a wife can receive up to 25% of her husband’s income as maintenance, dismissing a labourer’s plea against increased alimony. Upholding a family court order, the HC said ₹3,000 monthly maintenance was reasonable, noting inflation, the husband’s earning capacity and the wife’s lack of independent income.
