Central Govt Approves 500-Bed ESI Hospital In Amaravati

The central govt has approved the establishment of a 500-bed ESI secondary care hospital and a medical college with 150 super-specialty beds in Amaravati. Following the bifurcation, the ESI superspecialty hospital originally set up in the joint AP moved to Telangana, leaving AP without a hospital of that level. In response, the state govt proposed setting up a similar facility in Amaravati.
