11 Injured As Lufthansa Flight Hits Severe Turbulence Over Atlantic

Eleven people were injured when a Lufthansa flight from Buenos Aires to Frankfurt encountered severe turbulence over the Atlantic. 5 passengers and 6 crew members suffered mostly minor injuries. Flight landed safely at its destination, and all injured received immediate medical treatment. The turbulence, which occurred in an intertropical convergence zone, did not jeopardize the aircraft’s safety.
