Foreign Liquor Worth ₹4.54 Crore Destroyed By Gujarat Police

Foreign liquor worth ₹4.54 crore was destroyed by Gujarat police in Chhotaudepur. The foreign liquor was destroyed in the presence of senior district officials. Gujarat has a sumptuary law in force that forbids the manufacture, storage, sale and consumption of alcoholic beverages. The law has been in force since 1 May 1960 when Bombay State was bifurcated into the Maharashtra and Gujarat.
