Massive Wildfire Engulfs 2,000 Acres Near New York City

New York is currently engulfed in smoke, which originated in the Ulster and Sullivan areas, about 80 miles from New York City. Despite efforts by firefighters to control the blaze, the fire continues to spread rapidly. The wildfire is fueled by a month-long dry spell and lack of rainfall. The Jenning Creek Fire broke out on Saturday evening, and 2,000 acres have been scorched.
