Four Women Arrested In UP For Faking Husband’s Death

Four women in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, were arrested for faking their husbands’ death certificates to avoid repaying bank loans. The police, acting on a bank complaint, found the fraud and booked them under IPC Sections 406, 419, 467, 368, and 471. The women took loans under Bharat Financial Inclusion Ltd’s group-lending scheme, which waives repayments upon a husband’s death.
