Shankar Goud, who attempted suicide amid the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) strike, died early morning at Kanchanbagh DRDO Apollo Hospital while receiving treatment. Srinivas stated he passed away around 2:30 am. A postmortem was conducted by a special team from Osmania Hospital, after which his body was transported to his hometown.
